Well, well, well… Last August 23, 2008 my partner and I went to Villa Arcadia at Calamcam, Talisayan. Supposedly, our plan was in Davao to experience the amazing event according to them which is the Kadayawan Festival; however, due to some government issues that arise in Mindanao (involving the MILF and the Military) we could not attend the said event because of bombing threats. The second option that we had is to visit Malaybalay City and see the marvelous work of art which is the transfiguration wherein the view is nice and fantastic. The reason why we weren’t able to go to Malaybalay City is because our friends could not make it.
My partner and I had already made plans to have a vacation and do some relaxing to get away with our daily workloads. We already set our minds to go somewhere hence we opted not to postponed this vacation for that particular reason. We’ve been checking resorts that are safe to go to. We have choices like Duka bay, Manatagale and Villa Arcadia. The first two choices were scratched due to the price. Instead we went to visit Villa Arcadia resort which was a lot cheaper compared to the first two choices. My friend Joy said that it was cool and nature aficionado. The entrance to the villa is quite warm and welcoming. Indeed the place is nice and good, the ambiance is cool and refreshing while the view so scenery, peaceful and has a panoramic view. The villa has amenities like swimming pool, glass-bottom boat, café in front of the deep blue sea, bay walk for those lovers that would like to make some relaxing moment, billiards and a mini jungle for children (monkey, birds, and chickens).
The garden’s view and arrangement is well organized as well as the cottages. They have spacious parking lot to those costumer who have cars and their room has different packages from couples to family and is affordable which will range from 500 to 2000 plus. The food is good to taste and just enough however the prices are expensive compared to other resorts we’ve been to. The seashore’s sand is so fine like sugar. With regards to their rooms, we rented there ordinary with air-conditioned room which we think that it is okay however it is so disappointing to know that they don’t have comfort room and shower room inside the room just like most resorts have instead they have common comfort room and shower room which you have to go out from your room to take shower or pee.
Annoyingly, though they have shared shower and comfort room they don’t have shampoos and soaps for their guest’s only towels. And to top it all, the water is salty. The room that we had is a small room which only has a bed and a table and mirror. One more thing, they don’t have trash bin inside the room. And even the trash bin was shared. So pathetic… They don’t have any entertainment showcase inside the room just like TV or even a radio to make their guest entertain. Well, we haven’t tried other rooms. The one we have might be different from the other rooms. Just in case you want to visit this place try the other rooms. The room that we have is not recommendable.J The place is recommendable but not there ordinary rooms.. That is the only concern that I have in this resort, the facilities of their ordinary rooms is not good. To the owner of the resort sorry but that was I observe to your resort..PEACE..:-) But overall the entire place was great relaxing including the services….
