EL PASO RESTAURANT is located in Songco in the Municipality of Lantapan along the Talakag-Alanib-Aglayan Road with more than 3 hours of travel time from Cagayan de Oro.
El Paso is approximately 27 kilometers from Aglayan Crossing or a short 45-minute drive from Malaybalay City. It’s a much longer drive from Cagayan de Oro through the Talakag-Alanib-Aglayan Road.
You’ll notice the place right away due to the presence of these falcata trees which is just along the highway.

Cafe sa Bukid
This Cafe sa Bukid is known to be the champion of being natural and eco-friendly with a simple Pinoy living style, no shoes are permitted inside the hut, and smoking is not permitted. The straws and plates they used were made of bamboo and wood, which they created independently. Cafe sa Bukid is located at Barangay Kibangay, Lantapan, Bukidnon with a 2-3 hours travel time from Cagayan de Oro.
Food and beverages at this Bukidnon cafe shop are priced fairly. From Hot coffee to cold coffee and frappes are really good prices. They also serve salads and pies.
Cafe Sa Bukid also sells local products such as jams, coffee, tablea, peanuts, pili nuts, honey, hot sauce, and, oh look, uyap! Unfortunately, there were no bamboo straws for sale during my visit. Students of a nearby high school made them and sold them with the cafe’s help. They’re sold under the brand “KibaBamboo,” a portmanteau of Kibangay and bamboo. Maybe next time I’ll get lucky.
Aside from the tasty food and coffee they serve, you will also enjoy the beautiful mountain view at the back of Cafe sa Bukid while having your lunch or having a coffee while enjoying the cold weather of Bukidnon.
The place is good for meditating and for those who want to spend time alone. This is also recommendable for family gatherings. They don’t have a mobile signal so you can spend time more with your family and yourself, nobody can reach you when you are here at the cafe.
We have also listed the best coffee brands in the Philippines where 3 of these coffee brands are from Mindanao.
