Philippine Organic Coffee Beans

The Philippines is one of the few countries currently producing the four varieties of commercially viable Arabica, Robusta, Liberica, and Excelsa.

The story of Philippine coffee is akin to a rich and aromatic brew, blending myth with historical facts and presenting a colorful journey dating back to the 1700s. One famous myth relates how a Franciscan monk brought three gantas (approximately 2 kilos in weight) of Arabica beans to the country, planting them in his garden after which the Philippine organic coffee beans trees were transplanted to other areas in the central island of Luzon.

Coffee plantations flourished under Spanish colonial rule. As documented in the book Twenty Years in the Philippines, Paul Proust de La Gironiere recounted his agricultural efforts, which included coffee cultivation.

Filipinos have shifted from being moderate to heavy coffee drinkers, according to a study by Kantar Worldpanel Philippines. As a travel blogger, I always bring coffee in my bag but of course, I love to taste or try other native coffee brands whenever we get to a destination during our travels.

Organic Harvest Coffee is one of the local coffee brands in the Philippines that I tried and they used organic beans for their coffee. This is the first time I tasted organic coffee beans in the Philippines. Bugtaw is an Ilonggo local dialect that means “Wake-up” These Ilonggo people are residing in Mount Kanlaon.

Pulaw Brew – Pulaw organic coffee is a combination of aromatics with depth and intensity which is an energizing espresso coffee perfect to stay awake at night. This variant of local organic coffee uses,

Pulaw Brew

Pulaw is an Ilonggo local dialect that means “Stay up late” These Ilonggo people are residing in Mount Kanlaon.

Also, Organic Harvest Coffee has personal drip coffee that you can bring it anywhere and you can put it into your small bag or pocket, it is an on-the-go coffee sachet. The 3 variants Original, Bugtaw, and Pulaw brew) are also available to this drip coffee on the go. There are 10 sachets inside the box which at least you can use twice.
