It’s been a while since we visited Cebu City but this time we will visit the newly opened Cebu Ocean Park. Cebu Ocean Park is located near the San Pedro Calungsod Chapel at the back of SM Seaside City Cebu in South Road Properties, Cebu City. They had their soft opening last August 24, 2019, and it is the largest Oceanarium in the Philippines which is a 7-meter deep, four times (4x) bigger than Manila Ocean Park, and showcasing a 360-degree viewing tunnel with thousands of marine species.
About Cebu Ocean Park
The oceanarium is the first marine park in the Visayas and Mindanao featuring various sea animals (200 species) in one location, along with several species of birds, insects, and reptiles.
Built-in the tradition of Manila Ocean Park, the Cebu Ocean Park (occupying an area of 10,000 sqm) is much bigger than its Manila counterpart (8,000 sqm). In fact, the Ocean Park is the largest of its kind in the Philippines. The park also features function spaces and a food hall.
What’s Inside in Cebu Ocean Park?
- Deep Tank Lagoon with a 360-degree view
- Jungle Trek
- Creepy Critters
- Multi-Animal Shows
- Sea TREK
- Stingray Interaction
- Bird Feeding
- Fish Spa
- Crocodile Cage
Sad to say for those who are dolphin lovers out there because you could not see any dolphins in Ocean Park. The management has clearly clarified that Ocean Park will NOT have dolphin shows nor will be putting dolphins in Cebu.
