If you following and reading some post of this blog, you will remember our 7 in 1 adventure of springs and pools at Bukidnon in 1 day only. That was so much fun and we really enjoy our trip in that day. In this post before the month of October closed we decided to explore Gingoog City which is located in the province of Misamis Oriental. Together with friends Nova Mae R. Durian, Myra Marie G. Bunayog, Elva S. Agbon, Mrs. Annierose O. Eblamo and Mr. Arsenio G. Eblamo Jr. we visited one of their falls and that was the Tiklas Falls.
Tiklas Falls is one of the tourist spots in Gingoog City which they proud off. We really like the view of the falls which is in front of this is the swimming pools which has sinuous water on it. The travel time from Cagayan de Oro to Gingoog City is 2-3 hours. When you arrive at the main city of Gingoog City kilometers away you can see the signboard of Tiklas falls. From the main entrance of Tiklas falls you need to travel again 9 Kilometers going there and when you arrive at the main gate you need to walk 350 meters.
Tips:
- If you will go and visit the Tiklas Falls be sure you have your own vehicle to use because you need to travel 9 kilometers going there from the main entrance.
- Bring your own food and drinks.
- Be early to go there.
- Be sure to charge the batteries of you camera.:-)
The entrance fee of Tiklas falls is 10 pesos and the cottage is 50-100 pesos.
Some info about Gingoog City.
The term Gingoog originally came from the word “Hingoog”, which means “Goodluck”, from a Lumad tribe of Manobo who settled in the area.[1] The word implies good fortune, thus Gingoog City means the City of Good Luck.
